Established in 1969, the Western Charlotte Fire Department proudly serves the communities of western Charlotte County, New Brunswick—from Route 725 in the south to Oak Hill in the north, and from the St. Croix River to Route 745 in the east. Our coverage includes Little Ridge, Burnt Hill, Pomeroy Ridge, Scotch Ridge, Mayfield, Barter Settlement, and Oak Hill.

With a dedicated team of approximately 18 volunteer members, we operate two primary pumping apparatus (Units 431 and 432), a wildfire pumper (Unit 433), a Rescue Truck (Unit 430), and an all-terrain UTV to respond effectively across diverse terrain and emergencies.

In addition to our core service area, we proudly provide mutual aid to neighboring departments in St. Stephen, Moore's Mills, Lawrence Station, and Rollingdam—ensuring that help is always close at hand when our communities need it most.
